Meet the Owner
Jonathan Barnett
Jonathan Barnett, born and raised in Chattanooga, has over 15 years of community pharmacy experience. He started as a pharmacy technician in 2002 and pursued his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee Memphis in 2011. Jonathan has worked as a pharmacist for Walgreens and a pharmacy manager for CVS and Thrifty MedPlus Pharmacy since receiving his doctorate. He has received multiple awards for providing outstanding Medication Therapy Management to patients and was the top immunizer for the past 5 years with CVS. Jonathan also works closely with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy, where he serves on a Committee for local pharmacists. Jonathan’s previous accomplishments are all a result of his passion to provide the best, most personalized healthcare to the community.
Outside of pharmacy Jonathan is a loving husband and father to three beautiful girls. He takes part in adventure races and has a great love for the outdoors. Most of his free time is spent enjoying his family. Family is the most important aspect of Jonathan’s life and drives his ambition to help the community as a pharmacist. He’s outgoing and eager to meet anyone who walks through the doors of Barnett's MedPlus!
PHARMACISTS
Barnett's MedPlus employs three pharmacists that collectively have over 50 years
of pharmacy experience in community practice. They are all CPR certified with
the Red Cross and trained to administer immunizations such as influenza,
pneumococcal, tetanus, COVID-19, RSV and shingles vaccines.
Stephen Foster
Stephen Foster was born and raised in Chattanooga, where he developed a strong connection to his community and a passion for helping others through healthcare. He went on to pursue his pharmacy education at the Mercer Southern School of Pharmacy in Atlanta.
Stephen brings over 25 years of experience in community retail pharmacy. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for providing personalized care, trusted medication guidance, and strong relationships with his patients. He is passionate about ensuring each patient understands their medications and feels confident in their care.
His extensive experience and commitment to community-focused pharmacy help support the mission of providing, friendly reliable, and patient-centered service every day.
